What are "auto-retweet" and "auto-plug"? How do I use these?
Description of how “Auto-retweet” and “Auto-plug” works
Auto-retweet and auto-plug are growth features that help you take full advantage of your tweets so you can reach more people, make more sales or achieve whatever goal you have in mind.
Here's how it works:
Auto-retweet
Auto-retweet allows you to retweet your own tweet after a certain delay (1 hour, 2 hours, etc.). A lot of people on Twitter do that because the lifetime of a tweet is quite short (about 20 minutes). And most of us have followers all over the world, so if they're not in the right time zone, they will probably never see your tweets.
Adding an auto-retweet will help you reach these people who are missing out on your awesome content.
To enable this, click "advanced options" whenever you're writing a tweet, and enable the auto-retweet option while choosing the delay you prefer. Then publish or schedule your tweet. We have added an option to do multiple RTs with a select interval. Just pick the number of times you want to retweet your tweet, and at which time interval and let us do the rest!
Auto-plug
Most Twitter experts recommend you take advantage of your best-performing tweets (i.e. the ones with the best reach and engagement) and reply to them with a self-promotional message. This way, when people get exposed to your great content, they can discover what else you're doing (products, newsletter, etc.).
But doing that on every single tweet is very aggressive and may turn people off. So you should only do it when a tweet takes off so you can capitalize. Auto-plug allows you to do exactly that without having to monitor your engagement stats all the time.
Here's how it works:
- When you finished writing a tweet, click on "advanced options" and enable the "Auto-plug option"
- Define after how many likes you want the auto-plug to be posted on your initial tweet (ex: After 20 likes)
- Write the auto-plug message (ex: "Liked this tweet? Get more content like this by signing up to my free newsletter at abc.com/subscribe")
You're done! When your tweet reaches 20 likes, this message will automatically be posted underneath it.
